When requesting jewelry repairs, describe the item and the work you think it needs. Tell the jeweler about any known materials, stones, previous repairs or sentimental importance.

What to confirm before making arrangements

Ask how the item is assessed and recorded when left with the workshop. Confirm the estimate, approval of extra work and the collection process. Request a receipt describing what has been accepted and discuss any limitations before authorizing the repair.
