How can I order a particular book through a local shop near Webster Groves?

Give the shop the title, author and the edition you need. Ask whether it can source the book and when availability can be confirmed. A product appearing in a catalogue does not necessarily mean a copy is on the shelf or reserved for you.

Which details are worth checking?

Use these points to prepare your questions and compare the options relevant to you:

• Title
• Edition
• Availability

What should you confirm before deciding?

Give the provider the information needed for your particular request and ask questions about anything uncertain. Confirm what happens next, including any further assessment. Keep the accepted scope and terms rather than assuming an unanswered message has reserved the service.
